GEL VS PIMPLE PATCHES: THE BEST ACNE TREATMENT FOR YOU

GEL VS PIMPLE PATCHES: THE BEST ACNE TREATMENT FOR YOU

on

Traditional acne products include topical gels and creams applied to the skin to help manage the breakout of spots and pimples.

TRADITIONAL ACNE GELS AND CREAMS

Topical formulations, such as acne creams or gels, typically have three main actions: 1) decreasing the amount of bacteria that cause acne; 2) decreasing inflammation; and 3) clearing clogged pores.

One of the popularly used ingredients for acne formulation is salicylic acid, which has anti-inflammatory action but also can inhibit the assembly of intact stratum corneum, resulting in skin exfoliating, peeling and drying. This explains why skin-drying and peeling adverse effects occur with salicylic acid-based topical acne formulations. In addition to being uncomfortable, skin peeling disturbs the natural microbiome's habitats, which are necessary for maintaining healthy skin.

Another popular ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, a well-known free radical generator. This ingredient works effectively by generating free radicals to attack bacteria in acne. Unfortunately, free radicals attack not only bad bacteria, but also tissue and good bacteria, required for balance skin microbiome. Therefore, benzoyl peroxide may cause some temporary hyperpigmentation. Too much uses can also upset the skin microbiome.

Another ingredient for acne problems is vitamin A or retinoids in various forms. The use of retinoid formulation can be in the form of oral or topical. For oral, careful monitoring by a doctor is absolutely required because retinoid side effects are quite harmful. For topical formulation, many people usually experience skin drying and peeling as the side effects of retinoid uses.

MANGOSTEEN+ BREAKOUT GEL

Aim as a skincare to restore balance for acne prone skin, the Mangostin breakout gel is salicylic acid-free and contains no ingredients that will cause skin peeling. It is a non-drying, non-peeling formula that helps tackle blemishes for people with the most sensitive skin and dry skin.

Tarel Mangostin+ Breakout Gel goes steps further than others by:

1) Using mangosteen extract, a well-known traditional skin aid in Southeast Asia, as the main bioactive ingredient. This mangosteen fruit peel extract has also been scientifically proven not only for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and sebum control actions but also for its safety from skin irritation.

2) Using a plant-based encapsulation system to stabilize the extract so that even after years of storage, it still works. The encapsulation also helps bring the extract down to the oil glands.

3) Testing the formulation by dermatologists for its efficacy. The result is exceptional, with no skin burning or drying side effects.

The skincare gel is to be used:

- As a thick layer on the breakout spots.

- As a thin layer before the moisturizer to calm a red skin area on the face.

- As a daily serum routine on chronic acne prone skin (most people report clear skin in 4-6 weeks)

PIMPLE PATCHES

Pimple patches are an overarching term for a patch or sticker that is placed on the skin to help manage acne. There are different types of patches using different active ingredients, methods, and technology to manage different types of acne.

HYDROCOLLOID PATCHES cause blemishes to visibly flatten by drawing out fluid, including pus, from acne infections. Hydrocolloid dressings are inexpensive and simple to use. A person sticks the dressing to the skin and leaves it there for the advised time period. Nevertheless, hydrocolloid patches may work best on acne at the stages where there is pus and the acne is exposed to skin surface (to allow fluid to pass into the patch). After combating the breakout with a hydrocolloid patch, time will be needed to allow the post acne mark to be gone.

Patches for early-staged acne, which is the stage where the problem is just starting under the skin, need to work in a different way to be most effective and go beyond the surface level.

TAREL MANGOSTIN+ INTENSIVE BREAKOUT VECTOR PATCHES

This technology enables the active ingredients to go underneath the skin surface, targeting the site where a minor issue is on the verge of becoming a larger issue, and halting its manifestation. The goal is to avoid having breakouts all together so that one does not have to deal with the post-acne mark. In short, it is the technology for early staged and blind pimples. The technology encourages people to deal with the problem at the very early stage to achieve post-acne mark free skin.

This micro vector technology is different from any other technology on the market. The patch requires one-minute application time. In the application, vectors filled with bioactive ingredients are separated from the patch and go into the skin.
