Mangostin+ Breakout Gel

Sciences behind the product

How does the breakout gel work?

Breakout is caused by a blockage of fat at the sebaceous gland. The majority of products in the market have targeted breakout by providing various methods to unclog the pore. While unclogging the pore may get rid of the fat blockage, the skin loses balance and become irritated or scarred. This is why many people are prone to having recurring breakout, redness, or scars. Our Tarel Mangostin+ Breakout Gel presents a unique solution: the Targeted Release Technology. Instead of unclogging the pore, the Target Release Technology creates a biomolecular pathway to send ingredients to the sebaceous gland.

This way the bioactives can fight breakout at the right location, resulting in minimal purging, stripping, or drying of the skin.

To see full research detail of why we pick the ingredient combination: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1347861315002273?via%3Dihub

After extensive lab testing, the combination was found to effectively yet gently treat breakout. Mangosteen extract is great at fighting inflammation, and it also helps boost the immune system of the skin in the area. Oolong tea extract works synergistically with mangosteen extract when used at the right ratio. Thyme and oregano extracts help relieve inflammation and reduce hyper-pigmentation.

Vector Patch

Sciences behind the product

How does the vector patch work?

Tarel Microvector products use our patented Detachable Dissolvable microneedles (DMNs). Bioactives are embedded in micron-sized needles which are made of water-dissolvable biocompatible materials. Once pressed against the skin area, DMNs are painlessly deposited into skin tissue where the needles dissolve and release anti-breakout bioactives.

Because our patented Tarel Microvector is completely dissolvable into the skin, we’re able to quickly deliver ingredients to reach the acne in 2 minutes, compared to other similar products in the market that require several hours.

What’s special about the patch’s microneedles?

Our patented Tarel’s microvector presents more efficacy with significantly shorter patching time (2 minutes compared to an average of 2- 8 hours of other products in the market).

Ingredients

What’s the difference between Mangostin+ and Salix Vector Patch?

For Mangostin+ Breakout Vector Patch, we load our patches with only herbal extracts. The patch is suitable for regular use and sensitive skin.

For Salix Vector Patch, we load our patches with salicylic acid, zinc, and herbal extracts and salicylic acid. The patch is suitable for aiding tougher zits!

Both utilize the same detachable dissolvable microneedles and require only 2 minutes of patching time.

Usage

How to use TAREL Salix and Mangostin+ Breakout vector patches

1. Take out Patch 1 and Patch 2

2. Remove sticker backing and press Patch 1 on the spot. Press firmly

3. Press Patch 2 on top of Patch 1. Massage for 2 minutes

4. Remove both patches and go on with your day!

Why a two step application process?

The first step is the application of active ingredient-filled microneedles to acne. The second step is the application of the wet patch containing detachment solution over the microneedle patch. The solution in the wet patch triggers the detachment of microneedles, so all the needles are detached and left in the skin while all the patches can then be removed from the skin.

Why we should not leave the patch on overnight?

Cutibacterium acnes (P Acnes) is a bacteria commonly linked to breakouts. P Acnes thrives in anarobic (no oxygen) condition. Pimple patches normally reduce the amount of oxygen flow around the breakout spot. Therefore, it is best to not leave a patch on over a long period of time to prevent the pimple-causing bacteria from thriving.

Sensitive cleanser

Science behind product

How does the cleanser work?

This Tarel Sensitive Cleanser uses surfactants that are derived from amino acids which are very gentle for the skin. The surfactant will slide away dirt and impurities without disturbing your skin's natural lipids layer.

Ingredients

What are the surfactants used in the cleanser?

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate and Potassium Lauroyl Glycinate which are amino acid derived.

Usage

How to use Tarel Sensitive Cleanser

Apply Tarel Sensitive Cleanser on a wet face and gently lather for 10-20 seconds, then rinse with water.

Why is it crucial to use a sulfate-free cleanser?

Most facial cleanser products in the market use sulfate and synthetic gelling agents. While sulfate is effective in removing lipid on the skin, it takes away the lipid bounding skin barrier, weakening skin barrier. Weak skin barrier can result in imbalance skin, breakouts, and dryness.

Tarel Sensitive Cleanser uses amino acid-based surfactants instead of sulfate/synthetic gelling agents. Protein based surfactants like amino acid cleans the skin while protecting skin barrier. Our thyme and tea extract formula has anti-microbial, skin soothing, and anti-oxidants benefits.
